For many years, Emergency Safety Solutions has represented Dafo Fomtec across the Middle East, acting as Fomtec’s regional office and technical partner. Through this long-standing relationship, ESS provides direct access to in-house specialists who support clients with foam selection, system compatibility, testing, and operational guidance across petrochemical, oil & gas, marine, and other high-hazard sectors.
At INTERSEC, Fomtec introduced Enviro 3×3 NEO, a next-generation synthetic fluorine-free firefighting foam (SFFF) developed specifically for environments where performance, reliability, and safety are critical.
Engineered for high-risk, real-world conditions
Enviro 3×3 NEO is the result of Fomtec’s extensive Enviro Programme, built on thousands of full-scale fire tests. This evidence-driven development delivers consistent and predictable fire performance across a wide range of fuels, water qualities, and application systems — a key requirement for complex, high-hazard installations.
A defining feature of Enviro 3×3 NEO is its formulation using 100% hydrated polymers. By eliminating partially hydrated or unstable polymers, the foam avoids viscosity changes and ensures reliable proportioning and uniform foam performance from initial discharge through to complete extinguishment. This stability is especially important in offshore, coastal, and petrochemical operating environments.
Proven across fuels, water qualities, and standards
Enviro 3×3 NEO is designed for use with fresh, brackish, and seawater, making it particularly suitable for marine and offshore installations. The product has been validated through — and beyond — the world’s most demanding fire-testing standards, including EN 1568, UL 162, ICAO, IMO, and LASTFIRE.
As a sixth-generation alcohol-resistant SFFF, Enviro 3×3 NEO contains no intentionally added fluorinated surfactants or polymers (PFAS). It is effective at a 3% proportioning rate on both hydrocarbon and polar solvent fires, rapidly forming a foam blanket that blocks oxygen, cools the fuel surface, and prevents re-ignition. When applied to polar solvents, a polymeric membrane is formed, allowing the foam to perform effectively even on foam-destructive fuels such as MTBE. For Class A fires, an induction ratio of 0.3% to 1% is recommended, depending on the application and discharge device.
Global innovation, regional expertise
With ESS acting as Fomtec’s Middle East office, clients benefit from a combination of globally proven foam technology and local, in-house technical expertise. Our team is ready to support specification, system design, commissioning, testing, and ongoing operational requirements — ensuring that Enviro 3×3 NEO is applied correctly and performs as intended in real-world conditions.
The launch of Enviro 3×3 NEO at INTERSEC represents a significant step forward in high-performance, fluorine-free fire protection for high-hazard industries.
